Lack of updates

Hello once again. It's been a good 10 months since I updated the blog. I was lost in my own world, building kits, joining Group Builds held by HAG and betta keeping. During this time, I did attempt to join Singapore's mid year competition and GBWC but fail on both attempts due to my lack of planning and distractions. The Astera had been completed and looking at it now, it sucks as i couldn't get control on the shades of white which i was using. Anyway there is not point in me ranting so much without pics. I would start updating this blog on a regular basis so I hope there will be more viewership in a few months time. Till then take care and enjoy the world of Gunpla.

Thank You and more

It's been a few weeks since my last update. Been rather busy in the month of Dec 2011. It was the month where i went for my first modeling class and most importantly on Christmas Day i gave up single hood and was joined in matrimony with my ever so cute ex-girlfriend of mine(now wife) Adeline =).

The Thank Yous

It was a wonderful day where laughter and tears(of Joy) came together. I feel blessed that i had so much great help from my best of buddies Sebastian Tan and the rest of my buddies Andy Cheng, Geoffrey Tan, Shawn Fu & Jun Bin. They brave the trials & tribulation of the gate crash games. Helping me out and helping me relax on the day. Thanks guys if you are reading this =D.

My little sister missed her boyfriend's graduation just so she could come back to help me with my wedding. Ah girl not sure if you will ever get to read this but thank you so so very very much.

Diane thank you for accepting my very late request to emcee.

Douglas you are not only a photographer to us both but also a friend which we are glad to have met during our wedding shoot. Thank you for helping us capture the moments.

Adrain & Alvin, we may have not met up too often during the wedding preparation but the work done was superb and i will highly recommend unique-colours guys to many others. Thank you.

Adeline, sorry i was too emotional to remember the vow but i would like to thank you for willingly taking the leap of fate with me knowing that i can be very difficult to get along with. I will be there for you not matter what and that's a promise =D.

Lastly, I did not have the courage to do a thank you speech to my parents, so here is the internet version. Mum & Dad thank you for allowing me to do things my way and thank you for taking care of me. If there really such a thing as reincarnation, i would still want to be your son =D.

So now on with Gundam stuff.

I am taking my class from Hobby Art Gallery. Yes i finally did it without procrastinating. What made me want to take the course from HAG/HAW was because before deciding to get down to business, i went there a few times to get supplies and ask a number of question. I was greeted with friendly smiles and very detail answers. Back then the attendant, now my course instructor Sam. He was very experience and his willingness to teach newbies like me. He answer every of my question ever so patiently. On my own scale of awesome service from 1 to 10 i give them an 11. =D

The first lesson was an eye opener for me as i only did snap fit for the past few donkey years. I was taught how to clear seam lines. Yes, i know you-tube has loads of video teaching the same stuff and all but nothing beats having someone by my side coaching me. I was also taught to create seam line so we can make the kit look a little more "balance". Oh i almost forgot to state the kit i am building in my course. It's the 1/144 HG Gundam Astraea. So look out for the up coming post to get a glimpse of some of my work coming in the next few days =D.

Till next time.

First Post

Been wanting to start this blog for the past few days. Finally made up my mind and decided to do it.

As this is the first post, time to do the standard introduction.

Everyone calls me Edwin. I have been collecting gunpla at the age of 10. My first ever gunpla was from a Christmas surprise gift from my parents. From that day on i fell in love with kit building. I started off with SD kits as they look "cool" to me at my tender age. After O'levels i worked at Metro and every month 60% of my pay went to the kits. I had the mentality then and still today "Gotta get them all" sounds like something you hear from Pokemon eh. I have gotten alot of kits mostly SD kits and some other HG & MG kits laying around so i thought to myself time to devote some time to give the kits the proper respect they require. Therefore this blog is born.

The blog will act as a medium for me to meet fellow gunpla builders and learn from them. I will do my best in showcasing my w.i.p (work in progress) and also my final completion. Time to time there might be some personal post too. So watch out for the following post. =)

As my wedding is approaching the updates might be slow so do be patient.
Signing off for today. Have a great day. =D
